Ghosts of North Dakota is a photo-history documenting website born from several books on North Dakota’s abandoned or diminishing towns and farms. The latest photo subject is Ruso, a small town about 40 miles Southeast of Minot. As of the 2010 Census, Ruso had a population of four. Head to the website to see more.

The Sheyenne river academy opened in 1904 and until 1976 was used as a Seventh Day Adventist school. The building is a true ghost, and in a state of serious disrepair, but that didn’t stop the guys from Ghosts of North Dakota from checking it out.
