Garrison Bond Vote Fails to Pass

The results have yet to be certified, but it looks like Garrison’s attempt to make improvements to community schools has failed again. If successful the bond issue would have financed $5.9 million in improvements and expansions. Unofficial vote tallies were 515 No, 308 Yes.

Bill Allowing Concealed Weapons in N.D. Schools Passes House

Passing in the House on a 53-38 vote,  bill that would allow concealed weapons in schools provided the carrier has the proper permit and the governing body of the school approves. HB 1195 will now move to the Senate.
