— Official News Release, City of Minot —

Work has begun on the design of the first three phases of flood protection within the city of Minot. Survey crews, geotechnical crews and other personnel from the engineering firms of Houston Engineering, and Barr/Ackerman engineers will be conducting work over the next several weeks to complete the design of these phases of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project.

This work will include gathering survey and geotechnical data along the existing levee alignment from Highway 83 West Bypass – East along the river to 3rd Street NE. Residents should not be alarmed to see workers along the levees and near the river in these areas as work progresses.
