Snowmobile Crash South of Max Leaves One Injured

Max, ND – A snowmobile crash on January 25, 2025, left a 21-year-old Minot man seriously injured after hitting an embankment near Highway 83 and 21st Street NW, about seven miles south of Max.

The crash occurred around 3:30 PM when the rider, traveling northbound in the west ditch, struck the embankment, causing the snowmobile to vault over 21st Street NW and crash. The rider, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Trinity Hospital by the Garrison-Max Ambulance District for treatment of serious injuries.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, McLean County Sheriff’s Office, and Garrison-Max Ambulance District responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation, with no charges announced at this time.
