Pursuit in Minot Ends with Crash; Driver Fleeing, Passenger Uninjured

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 3:15 PM, a North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) trooper attempted to stop a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 near 16th Street SW and 54th Avenue SW in Minot, ND, due to a seatbelt violation. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leading to a pursuit.

During the chase, the driver crashed the vehicle into a tree at the intersection of 16th Street SW and 54th Avenue SW. The driver then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Authorities have not yet located the individual, and a search is ongoing. The NDHP has confirmed that there is no immediate threat to the public.

A female passenger, identified as Marissa Ruby, 30, of Minot, was in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Ruby was uninjured and remained at the scene.

The NDHP is asking the public to avoid the area while the search continues. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the driver is encouraged to contact the NDHP.
