Police responded to a Northwest Minot hotel, at around 11:52 pm January 30, 2023, on the report of a shooting.
They found an unresponsive male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance but
succumbed to his injuries.
Darrion Jackson turned himself in to police a short time later and as a result of the investigation was charged with murder. He was released to the custody of the Ward County Jail. The victim’s name is being withheld until family notification are made.
