Minot Fun Zone to Open February 1st

The Minot Park District has teamed up with the Minot Area Community Foundation and the City of Minot’s Recreation department to create a new winter time activity center.

The Minot Fun Zone will be open in the February 1st from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Monday and Wednesday mornings. It’s located in the Armory, the lower, east-most portion of the Municipal Auditorium. The full news release follows below.

Minot, ND- The Minot Park District in partnership with the Minot Recreation Commission and the Minot Area Community Foundation are excited to announce a new opportunity for families in Minot and the surrounding communities. The Minot Fun Zone at the Minot Armory in the lower level of the Minot Auditorium will be opening on February 1st from 9:00am- 12:00pm at no charge to the public.

The Minot Fun Zone will feature bouncing castles, games, and a safe warm environment for kids and young families to enjoy during the cold winter months in North Dakota. The Fun Zone will be open Monday & Wednesday mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

“We know there is a need for a play space during the cold winter months.” Says Ron Merritt Executive Director ofthe Minot Park District. “With that thought in mind we were able to partner with the Minot Area Community Foundation and the Minot Recreation Commission and came up with a plan to provide a safe and warm play environment for families in our community to enjoy.”

The bounce castles and equipment were funded by the Minot Area Community Foundation and daily operations were made possible by the Minot Recreation Commission. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult.
