Double D-Haw 2024 Raises $25,000 for Trinity Health Foundation; 2025 Date Set

Another year of Double D-Haw is in the books, and it was one for the record! On September 21, 2024, The Blue Rider Bar in Minot once again turned a vibrant evening of food, art, music, and community spirit into real, tangible support for breast cancer patients.

Over 200 patrons enjoyed a seafood boil—courtesy of Ackerman-Estvold—cheddar-bay cornmeal biscuits from Prairie Sky Breads, and a signature pink beer, Ruby Soho, brewed especially for the occasion by Atypical Brewery and Barrelworks. With the addition of VIP tables and colossal Bloody Marys, the 2024 event proved to be the most successful yet, raising a record-breaking $25,000 for the Trinity Health Foundation.

These funds are already designated to support the purchase of a Brevera Breast Biopsy System, a cutting-edge tool that improves biopsy speed, accuracy, and patient comfort. “It’s been great working with Double D-Haw for three years now,” said Dusty Zimmerman, Director of the Trinity Health Foundation. “They’ve raised a significant amount for the Brevera Biopsy System—it’s really quite an accomplishment!”

Art was once again at the heart of Double D-Haw’s success. Local artists crafted whimsical and one-of-a-kind works for the art auction, which added to the vibrant energy of the evening. “Supporting local art and artists is really important to us,” noted Blue Rider owner Terry Peterson. “That their work helped fight breast cancer in our community is a double bonus.”

Double D-Haw wouldn’t have been possible without its dedicated sponsors, volunteers, and patrons. “The generosity of the people of Minot never fails to amaze me,” said ShaunAnne Tangney, Executive Director of Double D-Haw.
