Park Squirrels Take Seeds Intended for Shelterbelts

The squirrels down in Roosevelt park must have become aware that E. C. Wilbur, Minot, in charge of the National Forest department, was going to make a raid on their winter’s supply of food, for they got mighty busy and “beat him to it.”
Wilbur had made arrangements with the park board to send a number of men to gather Russian olive seeds to be planted for shelterbelts, learned when the men went to look for the seeds that within a few days the squirrels had carried off every last one of the seeds.
Wilbur has a crew of men at work gathering seeds in Lincoln park and at several Minot homes. He wants 1,000 pounds of the seeds and anyone having any to spare will please notify him at the federal building.

Donald Duck to Study Medicine at N. D. U.

Six years from now Donald Duck of Dickinson hopes people won’t refer to him as quack, for the future Dr. Duck has enrolled as a sophomore pre-medical student at the University of North Dakota.
In 1918 Donald was baptized by Father Hehn, pronounced hen, and if Walt Disney gives the little white fellow in the comic strip another playmate he might call him Desmond for that’s the name of student Donald’s only brother.
While Donald Duck prefers medicine, Robert “Joe” Fenner of Bismarck has just enrolled as a freshman, and plans to enter the school of commerce. “Perhaps,” says Joe, “it might prove advantageous to enter the poultry business.”
