Minot Taxes Drop

Thus the person who owns $2,000 worth of property in Minot on the assessed valuation (which is $1,000 on the 50 per cent tax base) will pay $139.36 in property taxes to support the state, county, school, municipal and park governments.

Why We Chose It

Property was taxed annually at a rate of almost 7% of it’s value. It seems that there was a point when property taxes where much worse then they are today.

Trinity Plans Lake Lodge

The feature is planned to be added to the hospital facilities to make nursing and other hospital work even more attractive to employees and potential employees and to help meet the nation’s need for registered nurses.

Why We Chose It

Attracting professional talent has — since at least the 1950s — been a challenge for Minot. Kudos to the Trinity team from a bygone era for a creative solution and attempting to develop a unique benefit — though it would seem this never fully came to be.

Also, it’s interesting to see a peak into the original cabin site planning along Lake Sakakawea.
