Why We Chose It

This is a continuance from both yesterday and five years later. Of the old stories that featured in “On This Day | November 3” we had the stories told by George Reishus of the pioneer days around Minot. Today, it seems that 5 years passed in a wink, and now Mr. Reishus is an author. How could we not publish this?

“It has certainly cooled off since the heat of the election campaign has passed.”

The Ward County Independent, November 4, 1954

Why We Chose It

Our reprieve — hopefully — comes after tomorrow. And there have always been moments when eggs were scarce? What a revelation.
