Another small, daily paper cuts print schedule

Have you noticed changes in the way you get local news? In Minot, we’re not immune to these shifts — not long ago we felt the impact of a corporate acquisition of a local news company and the resulting consolidation. Now, much of KX News shows are produced out of Bismarck. And if we expand our view, we’ll see these types of transitions taking place across the country.

Here’s another example out of Crookston, Minnesota of a local newspaper reducing their print schedule. These shifts are worth noting because local media can be an indicator over the health of a place.
