MADC Members Comment on Parking Garage Request...
Stephanie Hoffart, President, MADC
There’s nothing that can change what’s been done in the past, it’s time to focus on what we can do to complete the parking ramps in downtown Minot. It’s time to collaborate and partner together to overcome this challenge. It’s once in a lifetime opportunity for our community to rebuild Minot’s downtown and we need to commit to getting that done and getting it done right. We know this project has caused hardships and doubts, but once it’s completed the whole community will benefit from it. We know the long term pros will greatly outweigh the temporary cons our community has faced.
Darrell Olson, MADC Board Chairman
The revamping of Minot’s core is so significant to the community that the MADC Board of Directors unanimously voted to proceed with the proposed solution and solidify the completion of this project. MADC leadership has worked closely with City Officials to determine a solution and ensure the parking ramp projects can be financed to completion.
Karen Krebsbach, MADC Board Member
As many of you know, this project has faced many challenges. After reviewing all options with countless detailed discussions, the generated solution was based on completing this project in the best financially and timely manner possible.
Just curious about who is responsible for accepting a dramatically under calculated bid for the ramp projects.
