Med Tech: New 3D-Printed Implants Save Three babies From Life-Threatening Illness

A new 3D printed splint that costs about $10 to produce is making news for saving lives. When surgically implanted, the splint helps keep the patient’s airway open, and after a period of 2-3 years it dissolves naturally.
