Minot Police Arrest Suspect in Vehicle Theft and Burglary Case

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on November 30, 2024, officers from the Minot Police Department responded to a residence in northeast Minot following a report of theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an air compressor had been stolen from their vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint in northwest Minot. During their investigation, it was determined that a male suspect had entered an attached garage at a nearby residence and rummaged through a parked vehicle.

On December 1, 2024, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers located a vehicle linked to the suspect at a gas station in northwest Minot. The suspect, identified as a 31-year-old male from Minot, was taken into custody. He faces charges including burglary (Class B Felony), unlawful entry of a motor vehicle (Class C Felony), possession of a controlled substance (Class C Felony, second or subsequent offense), and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C Felony, second or subsequent offense).

The suspect was transported to the Ward County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
