If this work can be kept up on the present rate, Ward county will in the future be well covered with beautiful windbreaks of Ponderosa pine, red cedar and blue spruce trees as well as many other ornamental trees, fruit trees, bushes, and other trees. About 10,000 trees will be planted in Ward county in 1948 spring, not all of them from Bottineau, however, for some are coming from the Mandan state agricultural experiment station.

Why We Chose It
Few things impacted the future more than the commitment to plant trees. We are the beneficiaries of that vision and commitment. It invites the question: are we holding up our end of the deal to pay that forward? We know that 1,000 Trees for Minot is, but what about the rest of those planning for Minot’s future?
