The war to date has taken 61 out of North Dakota’s 460 physicians, leaving 399 to care for a total population of approximately 600,000. This means there is one physician to care for about 1500 of our populations, which is about right. However, there are now two counties in North Dakota with a total population of about 15,000 neither of which now has a physician.
