City Council Agenda, November 18, 2024

The Minot City Council will hold its regular meeting on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 10 3rd Ave SW. Residents in need of special accommodations are encouraged to contact the City Clerk’s office at 857-4752. This meeting will include the roll call, Pledge of Allegiance, and reports from the Mayor and City Manager.

Along with regular business and consent agenda items, the Council will consider the following action items:

Approval of 2025 Service Agreements: Council will review and consider approval for service agreements with Minot Area Council of the Arts, First District Health Unit, Minot Commission on Aging, Minot Area Chamber EDC, and Souris Basin Planning Council

Process Improvement & Innovation Training: Council will consider contract to provide training to the Cit’s executive team and 16-24 employees.

Metropolitan Planning Organization Agreements: Council will consider an agreement formalizing the arrangements between the City of Minot and the Central Dakota Metropolitan Planning Organization.

NDDOT Project Planning: Council will consider the programming of various projects that will be supported by NDDOT and Federal funding.

Budget Amendment for Employment Investigation Services. At the September 27 Special City Council meeting, Council approved hiring a 3rd party outside investigator to review allegations against the Chief of Police regarding a hostile work environment. Additional funding is required to complete the investigation.

Minot Park District 1/2 Cent Sales Tax. Council will consider the Park District’s request to place the question of a implementing a 1/2 cent sales tax on a ballot for consideration by the Citizens of Minot.
