What does it take to drive new events (and the people that come with them) into the Magic City for a weekend away? Recently, the answer is regional sports and competition. Coming out of the COVID pandemic Visit Minot proposed a Tourism Recovery & Resilience project. City Council supported it to the tune of $477,000.
Several events have been supported by the program, and conservative estimates suggest the total economic impact at the end of 2023 will be more than $10 million. Part of that program comes with a regular report to City Council on the progress. On December 19, Steph Schoenrock, Executive Director of Visit Minot provided the 2022 update. Watch below.
