Seven Burglaries Overnight in Minot

The Minot Police Department is reporting multiple burglaries that likely took place on the morning of January 2nd. The full news release follows below.

— Official News Release, Minot Police Department —

The Minot Police Department responded to the report of 7 burglaries during the early morning hours of January 2nd. The first call was at 4:25 AM for an alarm at the Dairy Queen located at 1127 North Broadway.

At 6:37 AM police responded to North Hill Laundry – South located at 625 31st Ave. SW when an employee found the business had been entered.

A short time later at 6:46 AM, police responded to a call from an employee of Harry’s Tire Service located at 1604 20th Ave. SE. The employee interrupted the burglary in progress and saw 2 subjects wearing hooded sweatshirts run from the business when the door unknowingly struck one of the burglars when it was opened by the employee.

At 8:03 AM an employee arriving at work at Pizza Hut located at 1535 South Broadway found the business had been broken into. Just a few minutes later at 8:06 AM an employee of Superior Auto found their business had been entered. Superior Auto is located at 2910 4th St. SW.

The last two businesses were discovered at 701 31 Ave. SW. The first was located by an employee at Coach & Four Auto Sales who found their business broken into at 11:09 AM. While conducting that investigation, another business located in the same building, Freedom Financial, was also found to have been broken into. All seven burglaries are under investigation by the Minot Police Department.

Anyone with information about any of the recent burglaries is asked to call the Minot Police Department at 852-0111 or Crime Stoppers at 852-7463. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for an award of up to $1,000.
